The 2020 Ningbo Top 100 Enterprises List was freshly released on August 27th, including a main list - the 2020 Ningbo Top 100 Comprehensive Enterprises, and three sub lists - the 2020 Ningbo Top 100 Manufacturing Enterprises, the 2020 Ningbo Top 100 Service Enterprises, and the 2020 Ningbo Top 100 Competitive Enterprises.

Ningbo Shimao Copper Industry Co., Ltd. was ranked 64th in the comprehensive top 100 and 37th in the manufacturing top 100. This is the fifth time that Shimao Copper has been listed as one of the Top 100 Enterprises in Ningbo City since 2016.

The four lists jointly launched by the Ningbo Enterprise Federation, Ningbo Entrepreneurs Association, and Ningbo Industrial and Economic Federation not only include the strongest enterprises in Ningbo, but also serve as a barometer for the high-quality transformation and development of the Ningbo economy.

The 2020 Top 100 Comprehensive Enterprises in Ningbo City will be shortlisted based on their operating income in 2019. Data shows that the entry threshold for this year's comprehensive top 100 enterprise rankings has increased from 2.508 billion yuan last year to 2.627 billion yuan.

Overall, the top 100 enterprises in Ningbo continue to expand their business scale and maintain stable economic benefits. The comprehensive operating revenue of the top 100 Ningbo enterprises in 2019 reached 1631.385 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.07%. Among them, 40 enterprises have a revenue of over 10 billion yuan, which is the highest number of enterprises with a revenue of over 10 billion yuan since the release of the Top 100 Enterprises Ranking, an increase of 3 from the previous year's 37.

Among the top 100 comprehensive enterprises, there are 55 manufacturing, 32 service, and 13 construction enterprises respectively, reflecting that manufacturing enterprises still play a leading role in the development of industries in Ningbo. In terms of development trend, manufacturing enterprises are better than service industry enterprises. The number of Ningbo manufacturing enterprises listed in China's Top 500 and Zhejiang Province's Top 100 has increased from 12 and 18 in 2012 to 18 and 27 in 2019, respectively.

The large number and rapid development of private enterprises are important characteristics of Ningbo's industrial economy, as reflected in the top 100 list. The number of private enterprises in the comprehensive top 100 has reached 74, and the proportion of operating income has increased from 61.65% in 2012 to 78.44% in 2019. The average operating income per household has also exceeded that of state-owned enterprises by 17.293 billion yuan, reaching 14.331 billion yuan.

This year, the total net profit of enterprises that entered the comprehensive top 100 was 68.391 billion yuan, which was basically the same as the same period last year. Among them, 35 companies had a net profit of over 500 million yuan, an increase of 6 companies from the previous year, accounting for 83.30% of the total profit; The R&D investment of the top 100 enterprises has increased significantly compared to the previous year. Last year, the R&D investment in the comprehensive top 100 reached 19.952 billion yuan, an increase of 5.64% compared to the previous year.

Zheng Ruifa, the president of the "Three Meetings" in Ningbo City, stated that according to statistical data, the 2020 Top 100 Enterprises have shown a continuous improvement or trend towards improvement in terms of scale growth rate, quality and efficiency, structural characteristics, and sustainable development capabilities. This trend reflects the effect of innovation driven industrial upgrading and transformation development of the top 100 enterprises in Ningbo.
